Pros
I held several different roles and each had pros and cons. The Pros were working with great teammates. Opportunities to grow professionally, and working for a terrific boss. If you end up with a good manager and bring your best self to work you will find there are plenty of opportunities to develop your professional skills. While there are plenty of opportunities to stay with the company you may find yourself in the position of taking a large pay cut or needing to relocate- if you are able to do that you could spend an entire career in this company.
Cons
Cons you have to do all the heavy lifting to find your next team or project inside the company and it is harder then applying from outside. The company pushes bring your whole self to work and a culture of caring but the constant re-organizations can become exhausting as your leadership are changing frequently. Stability in the leadership team and clear and stable goals would likely improve this situation. Networking can be a challenge as the company is really a network of small acquired businesses in many cases--so you should make a effort to attend company events in order to build lateral connections that can survive the re-orgs.
