Pros

*Company Mission and services are much needed in the community. *Much of the Direct Care staff and about 1/2-3/4 of manager level are wonderful people! *Pay.

Cons

*The current upper management is some of the most toxic, uncommunicative, and out of touch that I have ever encountered. They are making the culture and environment miserable and fearful. *The organization is becoming so focused on numbers that they don't care about their employees.

Pros

This place is ever Evolving so to best serve the clients and their employees. Upper management is consistently evaluating better ways to support, train and encourage those of us that serve our clients. This enables us to be more effective with the children and helps each one of us to be a better team member.

Cons

I would say the biggest Con would be people who do not understand what it is we do. People who judge us without walking a mile in our shoes who can not see how important our program is. Our program works because of years of experience and the willingness to grow with the times and our clients needs.

Pros

I have worked at Jasper Mountain SAFE Center for 5 years! We have a strong workplace community, value diversity, and strive to excel in teamwork and communication. Our employees are appreciated, respected, and their voices are valued. Our team works hard to support a vulnerable population: children who have suffered trauma and struggle to regulate their emotions and maintain safe behaviors. It can be emotional work, but it is fulfilling work. Our team endeavors to create a family-like environment that is therapeutically supportive. We are regulated by state licensing agencies and are required by law to provide a safe healing environment for our clients. All employees are subject to strict background checks and on-going training. We have a highly educated and thoroughly trained team who chooses to work in a nonprofit line of work because the work we do helps our community heal and thrive. Employees are supported by supervisors, senior staff, and the management team. There are opportunities for growth and education. Every staff is allocated a training budget yearly. The health benefits leave a bit to be desired if you have specialized health needs. Compensation is on par with other nonprofit mental health agencies. The culture and community are what stand out here!

Cons

The health insurance can be difficult if you have specialized health needs.
