Pros

I cannot think of any. Barely any raises, if we do they are small. Says we are supposed to get semiannual bonuses but only saw one bonus in my 2 years being there. Downgraded insurance for employees to save the company money, every employee was unhappy due to only having one option for insurance. Pushed and pushed to burnout and then laid off and lied to.

Cons

Laid off right before Christmas due to “restructuring”. Since laid off before the end of the year, it made many employees not eligible for their yearly bonus. Javara did that on purpose. They are only out to pay and provide raises to corporate. The CTNs and Patient Engagement Center are worked to death and then laid off for their hard work and dedication to vaccine season and all other studies Javara has upcoming.

Pros

I can’t say enough about this company. It feels incredibly special to be a part of an organization with such an impactful and innovative mission. My coworkers are incredible, there are tons of opportunities for career growth and mobility, benefits/pay is far above average in the industry, and our leaders are inspirational.

Cons

With any new org or even a company breaking norms, there are bound to be growing pains. Many of the poor reviews here are from jaded former employees that were unfortunately laid off years ago… what is failed to be mentioned is that our industry as a whole suffered significantly that year and lay offs took place across most of the industry overall. Not Javara’s fault…. Other networks had to close their doors completely and often laid off exponentially more people

Pros

The healthcare benefits are fantastic, and the PTO is decent. The starting rate for a CTN is pretty great in this economy.

Cons

There is RAMPANT favoritism and almost nepotism running through the company. It started off a small company, and expanded so quickly they were scrambling for coverage so much they ended up hiring close friends. They will play favorites with these hired friends and will run everyone else into the ground. There will be a clear line between the “popular” hires and the others. The popular hires/friends will hide out in management’s office all day gossiping, while the rest see pts, process blood, run interference with the PIs, and the CRAs. Don’t look to be promoted if you’re not part of the popular crowd. They had a seminar that everyone was expected to attend talking about mental health and how we were supposed to handle the stress of work. Everything that was suggested is not feasible, but they get a pat on the back for saying “Mental Health Matters” and pretending they care.
