Pros

I was part of the communications team, and I have nothing but the best things to say about them! Supportive, fun to work with, knowledgeable, and a healthy work life balance. Truly a blast to be a part of the comms team. Overall, Jerry does a great job of vetting candidates to make sure they're hiring kind, honest, hardworking people.

Cons

The car insurance industry as a whole is a mess, and Jerry gets impacted by that mess. This means they can do layoffs while promising that no more layoffs are coming, yet more layoffs come. CEO, despite being a kind and highly intelligent person, singlehandedly destroyed our social media machine that was generating 150,000,000 views per year. He singlehandedly vetoed our strategy, against the advice of the VP of Comms and his fellow chiefs, and the social media performance never recovered.

Pros

Working as a Software Engineer at Jerry.ai honestly feels like being in a constant sprint with some of the sharpest minds I’ve met. The dev culture here is wild, people think fast, build fast, and expect results that actually matter. You’re given full ownership of your projects, from design to deployment, and it’s super satisfying seeing your code go live within days. The engineering problems are legit interesting too we’re talking large-scale optimization, performance tuning, and automation challenges that push you to think beyond just syntax. I really vibe with the “figure it out, ship it, and iterate” mindset. It’s high-energy, collaborative, and full of those late-night “wait, that actually worked?” moments.

Cons

If you’re someone who values crystal-clear direction and structured workflows like me, Jerry.ai might feel a bit overwhelming at times. The company’s still scaling, so processes can feel rough around the edges and sometimes documentation lags behind features, and it’s easy to get lost juggling multiple priorities. Communication across teams can get tricky too, especially when everyone’s moving a mile a minute. You learn to sync fast and over-communicate, but it takes a bit of adjusting. Also, because expectations are high, imposter syndrome can sneak in when you’re surrounded by brilliant people. But if you take it as motivation instead of pressure, you’ll grow faster than anywhere else.
