Cons
Management's head is in the clouds. They think they know what the customer needs without doing research to prove it. They build features that nobody wants or uses. They tend to over-complicate things when a simpler solution could have saved weeks of time with the same or more functionality. I saw a number of key features have to be refactored or completely canceled due to overcomplexity. This definitely had an impact on its success in the market. Not a great culture. Lots of know-it-all MIT grads and internal competition. Company events are awkward introvert parties. There isn't a lot of camaraderie between groups, except when its thrust upon the employees at monthly all-hands meetings by members of the executive team. At such a small size, and being such a new company, you would think it would feel like a fast-growing, productive startup, but it feels like you're working for a large, sluggish, misguided public corporation. If you don't like your team or want to grow into another area, lateral moves are not really encouraged. The perks are not great compared to a lot of other Boston tech companies. They don't have an unlimited vacation policy, there is free dinner twice a week but only if you stay until 7 pm. That's about it. Free Jibo?
