Pros

The only thing that was nice about this environment was the music/uniform. We were allowed to wear jeans and the company's obnoxious innuendo t-shirts. .hey were kind of funny, but in hindsight told me more than I bargained for. You go in, take a phone order and deliver it. Not much thinking involved here, should be a low stress job. When gas was $4/hour and they sent you out with a $6 sandwich to drive 35 minutes away, you sometimes literally lost money going out there. Let alone the delivery fees did not go 100% to the driver and someone might tip you 25 cents in a college town. An almost pro is that you can get paid minimum wage that week if somehow you didn't pull enough tips to come to that already low base.

Cons

Every employee for themselves. Very little direction when it comes to driving directions. Expected to answer the phone while you're driving. Expected to break the laws to meet speedy deliveries if need be. Expected to pay for gas and insurance out of pocket and sometimes not break even--daily. Expected to be okay with regularly being degraded by fellow employees. Expected to return to same work environment after a supervising trainer made rape jokes and threats personally directed towards me as "Ha, I will remember that it bothers you. You know, ptsd isn't real unless you fought in a war. Being raped doesn't give you ptsd, but I will follow you to see how much this continues to bother you. We will do an experiment on that a--." Expected that after I told management I would not work with this person I was somehow saying I would not work. No, just don't put me on the same shift was what I said and they knew I said that much!! I went up two supervisors. I was given the same garbage attitude--because I was new and the trainer was an American Veteran everyone shrugged off his stalking. He repeatedly followed me and followed up with rape jokes. I had a triggering breakdown at work when forced to work a return shift. I was fired over the phone. Not one thing happened to my trainer. They all laughed at my experiences. I have literally been unable to hold a job since trying to advocate for myself. I told them all that I had a sense of humour and wasn't being a prude, but he was physically and emotionally triggering me and needed to know rape was not funny. Not to me. Not to decent human beings.

Pros

Good pay, if there aren't too many drivers, and you're at a good place for lunch, you can expect to make around $50 in tips per day or more, and get reimbursed for mileage. The people there can be hit or miss, some people can be very fun to work with and responsible.

Cons

The upper management can be lead with too many sensitive women, who don't know how to diagnose situations properly, and take the side of the immature employees who get offended way too easily. The co-workers can be very young and irresponsible, but this is par for the course for food places if you don't have strong leadership.
