Pros

You'll get paid real money. The money you will work so hard here for is, in fact, legal tender, but you'll have so much else to do you'll forget that you're making money and feel trapped in a waking nightmare. The clothes are made by children in a sweat shop, but they are nice clothes.

Cons

Pay, Benefits, Store Managers are always under so much stress they're about to have a complete mental breakdown, the customers get better discounts than you. Honestly, do all the math (it's not that hard) and at some point in the year a sale will run that is $20 + better than your employee discount. Pay is horrible. Borderline min. wage/poverty. Too much work to do with too little time. Managers are greedy and lazy, archetypal power struggle. When you have to check on an order for catalog *internally* you have to wait on the same line as everyone else. Once I waited for over 2 hours to check for a customers order. During the 2014 holiday season you couldn't even get through. *SOME* of the customers can be insanely demanding and impossible to please. This isn't regular retail where someone asks a question and you show them where it is. No, in this kind of retail, you may very well be under someone's thumb for 2+ hours, showing them, fitting them and marking them for suits. Since Men's Wearhouse has taken over they are instituting so many new, and horrible changes only God knows what they will do next. The new tuxedo system is unnecessarily complicated and will just add even more work on to the thousands of other things you have to do but don't have time for there. NO work life balance. If you are in a keyholder position expect calls/texts from your Store Manager whenever/whenever. High turnover - So many new people no one knows how to do the job.

Pros

40% discount and the music is good benefits are okay

Cons

Too much mandatory paperwork to keep up with when dealing with customers during prom, wedding, and graduation season. While simultaneously keeping up with the cleanliness of the floor when customers treat it like it’s a primark.
