Pros

- Some employees get the flexibility - Benefits are standard - Some good managers

Cons

LACK of diversity. The executive team prides itself on diversity yet the executive team is the complete opposite of diversity. Pay is below the industry standard. The CEO also talks down on the customers during meetings and in all hands. We’ve heard over and over, that they think contractors are bad at time management and not business/or tech-savvy. The energy is awful. I have heard some executives and managers gossip and talk badly about other employees and even other executives. Some executives are belittling and hard to talk to, especially if you are a woman. Flexibility is extremely selective, especially if you don’t have kids. When I was hired it was a hybrid/remote place to work. Now, they don’t trust their employees to work remotely, so unless you have a perfect excuse, you can’t work remotely, even if it was in your job description, to begin with. Their pay is NOT equal or transparent. When I started, I was making a certain amount of money, then come to find out, the person I helped train was making more money than I was even though I had more experience with the software and started with the company many months before they got hired. When someone quit or got fired the CEO would tell the entire company at the all-hands meeting and explain why they left/ got let go. It was uncomfortable. JobNimbus also doesn’t do exit interviews. In my opinion, this is not a good place to work. Unless you can fit into a culture like this, please do yourself a favor and look elsewhere.

JobNimbus Response

We are so sorry to hear you did not have the kind of experience at JobNimbus that we strive for! Thank you for the feedback, and while we hope you had an atypical experience, we would love to address how we are tackling some of the topics you raised. We track diversity in the form of ethnicity, by department, and by level as compared to other companies in Utah. These results are reviewed with our Belonging Committee and Board of Directors quarterly. We’d be happy to share this data with anyone interested, just contact px.team@jobnimbus.com. That being said it sounds like the diversity referenced might be related to something other than ethnicity or gender. We’d love to expand on your concern if you reach out to the aforementioned email. Upper management always tries to share the right amount of information to help everyone make the best informed decisions possible. Some embrace that transparency, while others dislike it. We’ve always erred on the side of transparency. We care so much about flexibility that we have the following policies. 1) We ask everyone take a minimum of 3 days off per quarter. 2) We encourage everyone to take 1 day off per quarter to disconnect from your regular routine to re-prioritize what is most important in life and focus on yourself. 3) We pay $500 for everyone in the company to go away on a vacation. Regarding compensation, we do track what the market is actively paying. This is not crowd sourced data, but actual information for neighboring companies in our area. We target paying 63rd percent in the market. We pay more than the middle of the market, but also want people who are mission driven wanting to make contractors heroes. We are happy to report our comp-ratio is 108%! In other words we are paying more than the 63rd percent in the market. We don’t do exit interviews because we hold weekly 1:1 conversations between leaders and each member of the JForce. These weekly 1:1’s replace an “exit interview” with a “stay interview.” We have an open door policy and suggest anyone who feels uncomfortable speaking to their leader in an 1:1, please speak with our People Success Coach.

Pros

One of the best perks of working at JobNimbus is the culture. If you have a question, there's always someone willing to help. Everyone is laser focused on creating the best CX they can, and we recognize our failures as much as we do our successes. The company works hard, but we also play hard (e.g., baseball games, monthly movie nights, pickleball, yoga, and my favorite... the annual egg drop). Another great perk is that we just went back to a hybrid work schedule. Can't beat that.

Cons

We're split across three floors, so we don't always have an opportunity for spontaneous collaborations between departments.

Pros

Incredible place to work if you are in sales. Great leaders, great VP, great revenue operations… it’s one of the best tech companies in Utah. They take really good care of their employees. We have a hybrid work schedule, they bring us lunch once a week for the 3 days we are in office, and they always a have a ton of fun activities going on that include your family. The work life balance here is great.

Cons

Sometimes leadership expects a lot, but nothing out of the ordinary. They hired A players, and expect A player performance. They hold you to a high standard because they know you are capable of it. Sometimes it can mean early mornings, late nights, and 12 hour days. But if you want to win, this is the place to be. If you want to coast and be average, this can definitely be a con.
