Pros

- Heidi Golledge (CEO) is absolutely amazing! She cares so much for her employees and treats everyone as equals and like people. - Office environment was a WeWrok at the time I was there and it was very nice. - Once the pandemic hit, they gave every employee to go remote full-time, even once offices started to open. It was your choice to return or stay at home full time. - Really fun events - Great health insurance plan - Every other Friday off (IF you're performing)

Cons

- Competition! Not only with other recruiting agencies, but internally. Employees will do whatever they can to close a deal, so there is a TON of internal competition and sketchy things that they'll do to get that deal. - Pyramid Scheme - Basically, as a recruiter, you're at the bottom of the barrel. Sure, you're the one closing deals, but all the money earned trickles upward. Your manager get's part of your bonus, their manager gets part, the 'Directors' get their cut, and so on. - On the note of 'Directors' - Jobot's upper management were almost all from another company of Heidi's (CyberCoders). Probably 90% of them. They came over with their existing client base and made more money off of them at Jobot because it was a new company and the commission structure is more lucrative than CyberCoders. Because of this, a lot of clients were immediately 'claimed' by them, which prevents other Jobot employees from working with that company. - Lack of Growth Opportunity: Since all of these Directors came over, what upper mobility is there in to one of those seats? The only thing that changes is your title from Recruiter to Sr. Recruiter to Principle Recruiter, etc.. which is solely determined by how much you bill. That's it. - Metrics: If you're not hitting your metrics weekly, you'll be micromanaged until the day they fire you or you quit from the stress. You'll be reminded multiple times a day because 'big brother' is looking over your shoulder. - You're pretty much expected to work +10 hour days and on weekends. So, with all that being said, if you absolutely love sales, working a lot, and are okay working with people who have questionable business ethics, then this is your spot!

Pros

Fully remote, full autonomy, free Friday’s, incredible leaders and colleagues, the list goes on. I can’t say enough great things about this company. CEO is a brilliant woman and you’d never know or expect this in a company this size but she knows every single employee by name, whether you’re at the tippity top or barely moving the needle. Jobot is everything it claims to be, plain and simple. When they claim kindness and respect is the foundation of their company, they live by those words.

Cons

This isn’t necessarily a con but this industry is NOT for the weak. It is a grind and then some. If you are not willing to grind and work hard, this is not the job for you.
