Pros

- Full Remote - No client limitations (ability to recruit in any industry, any vertical, contract/perm/retained, etc.) as long as the fee was over a certain number - Closers baskets (gift baskets for those that were billing above a certain amount each month), although, I heard they stopped giving these - They put a lot of money in advertising and marketing - Best "base salary" in the industry, at least at the time I was hired (however, commission is on a 'draw' - see Cons), I heard they asked those that they didn't lay off to take lower salaries

Cons

Where do I begin... - Zero training and onboarding: they claim to recruit "only the best of the best" to work at this company and make it seem prestigious to come work here. But this is how they get away with not having to train you, because everyone "should" already know what they're doing - Commission is on a draw, but this is not explained to you throughout the hiring process. And once hired, no one on the team seems to know how it works - Company started doing rounds of FIRING mid-2023, they would tell us that it was "due to performance" which was inconsistent. Employees that were performing were still being let go, yet those that sucked up to management or had a personal relationship with them got to stay on-board. They would categorize these as performance issues to keep the turnover numbers positive. - They spend hundreds of thousands on company incentive parties and trips. When leadership was asked why not cancel those incentive trips to pay their staff, their answer was "because we've already planned the trip" - Health insurance was cut off for a full month (and it sounds like it's happened again since) leaving those who really need it in a bind. We were told that "If you're billing and meeting your draw, you shouldn't be worried about something as small as health care coverage" - No ownership accountability on candidates and clients. It felt like I was always competing with my colleagues just to keep my own book of business, people were always stealing candidates especially - No real structure on what level recruiter (job title) and pay they offer you. It seemed to be based on your personal relationship with someone at the company (a lot of managers would hire their friends and family, lots of husband/wives on the same team) - There was no true HR when I was there, no one to go to with concerns or issues about the company... probably because they didn't want to hear about them in the first place - Advertised "Free Fridays" (every other Friday off) but then leadership would make you feel guilty if you weren't online. Also still expected to work even if you took PTO - CEO bullies grown adults at company parties and baits them with cash in to jumping in to pools, the ocean, Newport Bay (in an area that was illegal and had Coast Guard coming after those that jumped) - Disorganized rollouts for new tech and any company updates (i.e. Jax updates, Jobot Consulting, etc.). People are going to say "this happens with a start up" but the company was founded in 2018 and continues to employ "the best of the best"... shouldn't the "best" know how to properly implement change? I could go on... but I'm tired of giving this company my time and energy.

Pros

incredible 100% paid benefits and leadership, every other Friday off, truly one of the best organizations I have ever worked for

Cons

None, they keep making decisions to benefit our consultants, clients, and employees overall. I will be here until I retire :)

Pros

Fully remote, full autonomy, free Friday’s, incredible leaders and colleagues, the list goes on. I can’t say enough great things about this company. CEO is a brilliant woman and you’d never know or expect this in a company this size but she knows every single employee by name, whether you’re at the tippity top or barely moving the needle. Jobot is everything it claims to be, plain and simple. When they claim kindness and respect is the foundation of their company, they live by those words.

Cons

This isn’t necessarily a con but this industry is NOT for the weak. It is a grind and then some. If you are not willing to grind and work hard, this is not the job for you.
