Pros

Many regular customers are nice, great discount on delicious food and juices, and free coffee!

Cons

The hours are absolutely awful. If you are a college student and need fewer hours or a specific shift so that you can attend classes and finish classwork, they will not listen. Instead, they will agree to your terms and then schedule you for the same hours again. Additionally, the locations in Chicago have stockrooms floors above the actual juice bars, or in a different building entirely. This makes things difficult when you have to carry 40 cucumbers, 20 milks, etc. down flights of stairs or sidewalks to the bar every time you open. Additionally, the store often gets little to no customers in the first hour or two, but higher management will not agree to opening stores later. New juicers are not notified of the physical demands of this job, either. My back constantly aches from carrying tons of fruit from the stockroom. If you are making sandwiches, it is almost certain that you will burn your arm on the grill, but you are not allowed to wear long sleeves to prevent this. I, as well as each of my fellow juicers, have received third-degree burns on my arms. I have one day off a week. I work overtime often. I did not ask for this company to take over my life when I accepted the job. There is nothing good about working here other than the people and the food discount, which shows how truly horrible this company is for those looking to work AND live out their own personal lives. Part-time? They don't want any full-time juicers to switch to part-time hours. Their training of new juicers is so time-consuming and often involves the new employee and manager going into work early in the morning and leaving late at night that management does not want to hire new juicers. Finally, the work environment is toxic at times. If you cannot keep up due to exhaustion from the hours or any personal issues, employees often gossip about you behind your back. They expect every juicer to be working their hardest every hour they are on shift, and if they are sick, or feel unwell, they still have to work at the same level as every other juicer on shift.

Pros

Tips are good during the summer (especially after everyone quits and it's split between only 3 people)

Cons

- Inconsistent schedules but requiring open availability (close one day, open the next, added on schedule with no notice, 18 hrs one week, 48 the next) - No support from managers, district manager, or HR - constant disrespect, aggression, and gossip from management - extreme hypocrisy and favoritism - can't trust or rely on any team members - revolving door, constantly understaffed, no proper training, and easy job made stressful
