Pros
Dedicated frontline employees who genuinely care about patients and customers. Strong institutional knowledge exists within middle management despite ongoing disruption.
Cons
The organization struggles with strategic clarity and disciplined execution. Multiple transformation initiatives were launched without sustained funding, executive alignment, or a realistic delivery plan. Decision-making is highly reactive and board-facing, prioritizing short-term optics over operational reality. As a result, leadership attention frequently shifted to tactical fixes rather than addressing root causes. Employee engagement declined materially during my tenure, and attrition at senior and mid-management levels increased, creating further instability. Transformation roles are particularly challenging due to unclear ownership, frequent reprioritization, and insufficient commitment to change management.
