Pros

Excellent compensation, benefits and bonuses resulting in high retention rate.High regard for work life balance, a good place to work for women. Lots of training and paid continuing education.

Cons

Highly resistant to change processes and operating philosophy, bloated organizational structure, making it very difficult to get things done. Departments are siloed and not collaborative. Aligned teamwork highly touted but really relates to goal planning and alignment, top to bottom not true teamwork. Poor performers are not dealt with and passively accepted. Highly competent, motivated, progressive thinkers, and high achievers will not thrive in the Deere culture and be miserable unless they are willing to conform.

Pros

Fun work, interesting problems to solve, good people in the office. Good 401k match.

Cons

Deere corporate doesn't care about it's employees. No promotions, tiny raises. No equity. Bad health insurance. Some people get promoted but only if you are good at kissing a** it seems.
