Pros

Great coworkers and decent pay

Cons

We’re always understaffed. Company does not care about CNA’s the hardest workers and the heart of the company. They will not hire new staff or even registry to cover the shortages. They will work you until you fall apart and will not even replace you. Just more shortages. Less staff equals more problems with patient safety and overall patient satisfaction.

John Muir Health Response
3y
Dear Employee: Thank you for expressing your thoughts and concerns. John Muir Health welcomes and encourages employee feedback and questions regarding our work environment. At John Muir Health, we value all of our staff and appreciate all of the hard work and support that everyone brings to our patients. We believe that every role is critical to our mission of improving the health of the communities we serve with quality and compassion. Like all hospitals and health systems, we’ve had staffing challenges. In response, in 2022, we hired 1,125 new employees and made a $40 million investment to support market competitive compensation for staff. We firmly stand by our “Open Door” Policy, and warmly welcome the opportunity to speak with you as well as employees at all levels, who have concerns about staffing, quality of care, patient experience or any other issues. John Muir Health encourages its employees to openly communicate concerns by speaking with their direct supervisor, reaching out to a seasoned HR professional or anonymously speaking to a qualified representative. We encourage you to exercise our brand promise of, “We Listen – We Explain – We Work Together as a Team”, and seek out any of the above options to further communicate your concerns and have them addressed. We hope that you will take advantage of these options before you make a decision on whether to stay with John Muir Health.
