Pros

The APL is a wonderful colaborative environemnt where you can freely and openly investigate problems. You will work with some of the brightest people in the world. The APL is in close proximity to the JHU medical school and the actual university of JHU, along with a number of federal research labs.

Cons

Sometimes it is hard to figure out what direction we are trying to take projects. There were several instances in which my team had worked on a project for months and months only to see it either scrapped or handed off to a different group of people.
