good education & training support if you know what buttons to push; lots of challenging engineering opportunities if you know who to call

Cons

heavy favoritism, undocumented rationale for hiring, advancement decisions, lack of any information for meaningful career planning, most HR type decisions are given to a handful of very powerful managers, very little HR info is shared in any systematic way at least as far as we can tell
