Pros
Hospital environment, great place to learn. Potential opportunities for advancement. Good health insurance.
Cons
As a company that specializes in children they seem to hire people who act like children. Not only are most of their employees young and in their first ever jobs, they tend to have low to zero work ethic, act and behave unprofessionally, and act unethically as well. Employees are known to smoke within hospital walls and wear improper dress in ORs. If you work hard and care about patients and what you do, they will find ways to take advantage of that. Management will find a way to take as much as they can from you while simultaneously never giving back. Employee recognition is non-existent. Management and HR will write you up for reporting unsafe work conditions, racist/homophobic/sexual misconduct. Just because it’s a Hopkins hospital does not mean they follow their own values and mission statements.
