Pros

JCI sas a great company and currently has some great/good products.

Cons

The CEO, George Oliver, does not care about people. He’s arrogant, not very smart, socially awkward, and does not listen to feedback. He’s doing what he wants to do and it will be a slow death. He learned from the best - Jeffrey Immelt and Jack Welch. The field teams do not respect him. He sold off Power Solutions to pay down the TYCO merger debt and completed stock buy backs with no reinvestment in new businesses. “Openblue” is a rebrand of many existing products. The tyco merger has been a disaster as it included many less than talented people, and the good ones left. In 2021 in the US he has moved $500MM in revenue from “projects” to “service” to make the NA business look better in a down construction economy. There is an ongoing list good great salespeople and managers who have quit or been run off in the last 4 years (40+ long term extremely talented people). George ran off two very talented presidents as well. That is all.
