They are a very large company so you know they're going to be around for a while (not going bankrupt and disappearing if a deal turns sour).
Cons
Johnson Controls is a very aggressive company. They set extremely aggressive goals for sales, profit margin and growth, regardless of market trends. When the goals are not met, they have layoffs (every fiscal year). This instability has led to a toxic environment where people are constantly trying to protect their own jobs and fight for their survival.
