Some supervisors are appropriate with employees and focused on helping their team do good work. Other supervisors are highly emotional and create unnecessary stress for their employees due to contributing to this culture of mistrust and micromanagement. There was a constant concern of supervisors searching for persons “gossiping” that led to secrecy, employees turning on one another, and took time away from important work serving the community. Career opportunities are limited by what supervisor you work for.
