Pros

- Fun job! When you are with the right family - You get to work with children of all ages - Hours are pretty good, as you are practically able to make your own schedule. - Perfect for college students! My manager was always willing to work around my busy schedule - Depending on how many kids I got, pay would go up

Cons

- POOR communication between the nannies and the families. For example; I was with a family for about three months, the mother always changed her expectations around on me. At the same time, my manager would call me and tell me the opposite of what the mother wanted. Very poor communication. As well as this, mother NEVER answered her phone, so how do I know how mom is feeling about my nannying if she never talks to me? If you get stuck with a family who doesn't work well with you, it will effect your personal life. Everyone has different experience, but this is my own. Which leads me to by next con... - No work/personal life balance... Although I loved my manager, I received too many calls and emails requesting me to come in, even when I was not available for a particular day. Mom being passive aggressive towards me, calling me after hours and swearing/threatening me over the phone? So disrespectful. And so uncalled for. Yet, management does absolutely nothing about it.

Pros

Flexibility in scheduling, feeling like I am appreciated and enjoying caring for families who value me as an employee.

Cons

I don’t have anything negative to say about this company. I have have been for over 12+ years. I think that sums it up.

Pros

Help find you a family to work with. I could see how this could perhaps be great for part time

Cons

LOW PAY for the job. After 3 years with Jovie, I was getting paid $16/hr and my full-time family was paying somewhere from $26-28/hr. They told my nanny family I was getting higher raises than I was. MUCH fairer companies out there. No PTO due to "not being salaried employees" even though that's not how PTO works! Constantly nagged about logging in my hours even though I was always on top of it. Going through them was a pain. Don't recommend. Always wondered if why they rebranded from College Nannies and Sitters was to try to separate from all the negative reviews.
