Pros

Occasional fun families Can be somewhat flexible Community drive

Cons

Very demanding (hours required of you change constantly, lots of late hours even if you work more than one job, hours change daily, etc) Unprofessional (emails aren't answered, emails are inconsistent and very to the point if they are answered, most emails had spelling errors or incorrect dates, expectations change almost weekly with little to no heads up) No benefits whatsoever (but their prices online say that they cover you for insurance which is included in the family's cost, not true)

Pros

I've worked with Jovie Newport Beach since 2022. I started as an on-call nanny and worked my way up into administration. I am now in charge of recruitment, event coordination, and general management. I love the company culture and encourage families to use our services and for potential nannies to apply! I have met many great people through the Jovie network! It has been great!

Cons

I can't think of any cons!

Pros

Help find you a family to work with. I could see how this could perhaps be great for part time

Cons

LOW PAY for the job. After 3 years with Jovie, I was getting paid $16/hr and my full-time family was paying somewhere from $26-28/hr. They told my nanny family I was getting higher raises than I was. MUCH fairer companies out there. No PTO due to "not being salaried employees" even though that's not how PTO works! Constantly nagged about logging in my hours even though I was always on top of it. Going through them was a pain. Don't recommend. Always wondered if why they rebranded from College Nannies and Sitters was to try to separate from all the negative reviews.
