      Pros

      I had the most amazing co workers. The culture of this company was the biggest pro. I’ve made some incredible friends! College Nannies/Jovie decided to fire all of my old co workers and hire people from the Philippines & South Africa to work there my co workers position for $5 an hour. Unethical, horrible, greedy, and a VERY poor business decision. I know the families who give this company their business will eventually leave the company when they catch wind of these things and take their money else where.

      Cons

      Everything I stated above is a con. Owners of the franchise I worked for seemed like such a sweet midwestern family.. it’s all a cover for their petty nasty business scheme. Karma will bite them one of these days. Looking forward to it!

      Pros

      I've worked with Jovie Newport Beach since 2022. I started as an on-call nanny and worked my way up into administration. I am now in charge of recruitment, event coordination, and general management. I love the company culture and encourage families to use our services and for potential nannies to apply! I have met many great people through the Jovie network! It has been great!

      Help find you a family to work with. I could see how this could perhaps be great for part time

      LOW PAY for the job. After 3 years with Jovie, I was getting paid $16/hr and my full-time family was paying somewhere from $26-28/hr. They told my nanny family I was getting higher raises than I was. MUCH fairer companies out there. No PTO due to "not being salaried employees" even though that's not how PTO works! Constantly nagged about logging in my hours even though I was always on top of it. Going through them was a pain. Don't recommend. Always wondered if why they rebranded from College Nannies and Sitters was to try to separate from all the negative reviews.
