      Pros

      Upbeat, comfortable office setting and work spaces with friendly management staff. The staff seems to care about their team and try to keep an upbeat attitude.

      Cons

      No possibility for advancement. Punitive, disconnected and unprofessional owner that doesn't understand HR employment practices. Depending on the position, expect to work 45+ hours a week and be available 24/7. Compensation is low compared to other businesses in the industry. The owner has created many "rules" that are unrealistic and do not follow actual HR practices. The work atmosphere would become very negative because of owner's expectations.

      Pros

      I've worked with Jovie Newport Beach since 2022. I started as an on-call nanny and worked my way up into administration. I am now in charge of recruitment, event coordination, and general management. I love the company culture and encourage families to use our services and for potential nannies to apply! I have met many great people through the Jovie network! It has been great!

      Help find you a family to work with. I could see how this could perhaps be great for part time

      LOW PAY for the job. After 3 years with Jovie, I was getting paid $16/hr and my full-time family was paying somewhere from $26-28/hr. They told my nanny family I was getting higher raises than I was. MUCH fairer companies out there. No PTO due to "not being salaried employees" even though that's not how PTO works! Constantly nagged about logging in my hours even though I was always on top of it. Going through them was a pain. Don't recommend. Always wondered if why they rebranded from College Nannies and Sitters was to try to separate from all the negative reviews.
