Pros

I can make my own schedule, the pay is decent (much more than working with a daycare), and I get to work with many amazing families and kiddos! The Jovie staff is very supportive and is always responsive to my needs/concerns. I really feel that Jovie cares about me as an employee and as a person. I'm more than just a number with this company and that matters to me. :)

Cons

Not always enough hours, sometimes it's tough to make 40 hours a week and the hours are not always consistent. Families can cancel with no notice and we're no longer reimbursed for it. No insurance benefits offered.

Help find you a family to work with. I could see how this could perhaps be great for part time

Cons

LOW PAY for the job. After 3 years with Jovie, I was getting paid $16/hr and my full-time family was paying somewhere from $26-28/hr. They told my nanny family I was getting higher raises than I was. MUCH fairer companies out there. No PTO due to "not being salaried employees" even though that's not how PTO works! Constantly nagged about logging in my hours even though I was always on top of it. Going through them was a pain. Don't recommend. Always wondered if why they rebranded from College Nannies and Sitters was to try to separate from all the negative reviews.
