Pros

Food, residents, decor and the staff that isn’t there to just punch the clock.

Cons

Management fractured. You can literally feel the divide between the new and old employees there. Sad. Onboarding terrible. Literally tossed in the fire with little to no support. Executive Director insanely micromanaged the wrong areas. Brow beats employees. Staff leaving at alarming rate since building change over. Continues to squeeze every dollar out of department heads by assigning the work of two or three employees.

Pros

Working at Juniper Brookline SNF has been an incredibly positive experience for me. From day one, I felt welcomed into a supportive and collaborative environment where people genuinely look out for each other. The culture here makes it clear that you’re never alone—whether you need help with a task or just someone to talk through ideas with. One thing that really stands out is how well-staffed everything is. It allows everyone to do their jobs effectively without feeling overwhelmed, which makes a huge difference in maintaining both quality of work and work-life balance. Juniper also goes above and beyond to make employees feel appreciated. The weekly staff appreciation events are a great touch—they’re thoughtful, consistent, and help build a strong sense of community across the team. It’s clear that leadership values the people who work here. Overall, I feel genuinely valued in my role, and that’s not something you find everywhere. If you’re looking for a workplace that combines support, appreciation, and a positive team environment, Juniper is a great place to be.

Resident-Centered Culture: The organization places a strong emphasis on resident care. We consistently prioritize the well-being and needs of residents, which creates a fulfilling work experience. Collaborative Atmosphere: Everyone works together to ensure the highest standard of care. Teamwork is not just encouraged—it’s a core part of the culture. Positive Work Ethic: There is a shared commitment to doing the right thing for residents, often going above and beyond.

Cons

Fast-Paced Environment: The job can be fast-moving and at times overwhelming, especially during high-demand periods. It requires strong multitasking skills and patience. Emotional Demands: Working closely with residents can be emotionally taxing, especially when dealing with health declines or end-of-life care.
