Pros
The ability to work from home. I loved my colleagues. Often projects were challenging and no two days were alike. Benefits, PTO, and additional perks were excellent.
Cons
K12 is no longer the golden child it used to be. They have lost sight of their mission and do NOT put students first. If you want to work for K12 for altruistic reasons, RUN. They are now run like a true corporation. Money before mission. People are overworked, lied to, ideas are stolen, yes, stolen. The company's ethics are lacking. People are promoted not by merit, but to keep the "farce" going. Ask yourself why K12 continues to be investigated by states and the federal government. Leaving was the best thing I ever did. It was a difficult decision to make since I had been there for close to ten years. It was like a divorce. I learned a lot, but in the end, I realized that the company does not put their employees first and that EVERYONE is expendable.
