Pros

The people and culture overall are fantastic. Managers are well trained. Previously K12/Stride has been investing in its emerging and current leaders and it has paid off. The DEI hiring practices are above most other companies I see. I see many folks in higher positions who are often women and or people of color. The employee resource groups allow for networking and promoted diversity and inclusion. The pay for corporate roles in recent years is catching up to industry standards. There is so much room to grow and thrive. Corporate employees can work from anywhere in US. The new directions seem to moving the company forward and towards growth.

Cons

The reorgs are exhausting and it's about every two years they go through a cycle of massive layoffs, moving the surviving people to a new dept, hiring a bunch of new people, sometimes well above the pay of the existing people, then they do it all over again. The school-level salaries are well below industry standards. It seems the investment in emerging and current leaders is going away. The new CEO seems to not understand the heart or value of the company and it's massively hurting morale.

Pros

Great collaboration with highly professional colleagues who truly care about teaching and education. Work remotely.

Cons

Insufficient training for the many responsibilities of the position. Insufficient follow-up from the upper administration on said responsibilities. Workload increased to levels that made completion of said workload difficult (with putting in extra hours without added compensation) to basically impossible. Difficult to change roles (at least, in my position). Many additional hours away from the classroom, which greatly disrupted educational continuity.
