Pros

The company continues to strive to build client base. Naturally there are competitors who will shake up the options and opportunity. Still, they attempt to be ahead of the game and analyze need to maintain relationships with clients. Attempts at including teachers and other educators in the process had been stellar, but dwindled to mediocre. Working from home is a bonus, I suppose.

Cons

It's hard to write pros when the cons are so glaring. Company used to have a student/teacher relationship focus. Suddenly it evolved into a poor representation of education. The focus is so statistics focused that the reasons for some of the statistics are meaningless. The teacher evaluations are so off kilter from a true reflection of their efforts that unless someone enjoys browsing to the max, they will not receive anything but a mediocre eval. When mentioned, the response was more: no one gets the stellar review. Company used to give bonuses, now they are not good enough for them. Company used to send teachers and others thank you's, which went a long way, now they do not. Their expectations of all remote employees is "flexibility." Do not be fooled by the jovial middle to lower management. They are all tools. They work from home, and are expected to work whenever and however they are told, but also reminded they do not need to work weekends. I don't know one manager who doesn't work weekends, nights, etc. It's high stress and low pay. Very low pay. The lure of working remotely is a rouse. It becomes a very mismanaged set of expectations. Many quality people have left the organization because of the continuous and shifting expectations, all away from students and ideas for quality education. Some clients dictate absurd expectations for the company, and they comply. Some are given "special projects" and it's a method of being a tool. There is no reward at the end of the project, not for the one who stresses out to compile the information.

Pros

Great collaboration with highly professional colleagues who truly care about teaching and education. Work remotely.

Cons

Insufficient training for the many responsibilities of the position. Insufficient follow-up from the upper administration on said responsibilities. Workload increased to levels that made completion of said workload difficult (with putting in extra hours without added compensation) to basically impossible. Difficult to change roles (at least, in my position). Many additional hours away from the classroom, which greatly disrupted educational continuity.
