Pros
My colleagues were nice, and it is convenient to stay home but lonely and uninspiring. The lessons are pre-made like a stale box of generic mac and cheese. I didn't have all the classroom misbehavior of a normal school.
Cons
Pay is the lowest in the state. Frustrating, unrealistic expectations were placed on all of us from corporate (Stride K12). I was told I would be teaching a couple of classes and it turned out I was given 10 separate classes in middle and high school and over 300 students! I was told they did hands-on lessons and that was not true. The content hasn't changed in 10 years so all the answers to questions are online and they use their resources (cheat). Only 30% of students attended mandatory live sessions and there was no accountability for lack of attendance. The workload kept increasing throughout the year and new confused students were continuously being added throughout the year.
