Advancement opportunities, promote from within, mission driven, vast majority of people believe in what the company is doing.
Cons
no parity in pay between departments, no defined position requirements- ie. Sr Manager roles and responsibilities in one department is not the same as in another department, focus on who can 'sell' an idea rather than who can deliver performance.
