Pros
you meet some really lovely people you have a job, despite all the cons you are earning money. Staff meal you get after working more than a 4 hour shift free juice (in moderation cant go drinking 5 liters of the stuff haha) my manager and assistant manager are great, so are most of the team leaders. informative team meetings every few weeks.
Cons
Hours are not guaranteed (could be 14 hours one week and 3 the next). i was given a verbal agreement of 8 hours a week and that is not always met. sometimes i earn more but the weeks where i only get 3 hours kill me. Constantly hiring new staff(who are lovely) when we dont have the extra hours to hand out. Really bad pay(unless you still live with mum). Customers dont seem to understand you are a human being too. once that uniform goes on Bam the no longer see you as a person. cant wear my uniform to work, got to get changed in a tiny cupboard with a broken lock. you aren't appreciated unless you are popular or annoying. you could be ace at your job but unless you fit in with the teams social group you aren't recognised for all the hard work you do will the stand around on their phones - I swear to god im he only person that doesnt hide their phone in their uniform. everything breaks and its horrible. if one of the machines not working that day then you are guaranteed to get at least one customer to go all diva on you and let you know that 'that was the only reason why the came here and that they are coming back again' should i stop now im sure i could find something else.
