Pros

Lenient hours 2+ years of shaky employment

Cons

The older you got, less shifts you were rostered on for as it was cheaper to hire someone younger. The managers encouraged team members as young as 15 to go out on smoke breaks with them, creating 15-17 year olds exposed to smoking and addictions. Having to stay back until 2am on school nights to clean for the next shift; even though you were only paid until 10:30. 2+ years in the same uniform, that didn't get renewed and ended up torn and burnt at points. Lack of training. WHS practises abandoned because of the multiplicity of dangerous jobs (for example; standing on top of a tap 1.3m above ground full of chemicals and water to reach an out of reach shelf that needed cleaning without spotters/ anyone to catch if fell from slippery surface. Rude managers, that encouraged bitchiness within the store and didn't stop bullying. Managers that swear and call people 'f*cked up' or 'stupid b*tch' if a job wasn't completed correctly; though without specific instructions being given. Large amounts of wastage of the company 'if it's not sold throw it out' policy, though the vast expanses of food could be given to companies that aid in feeding the homeless.
