You get a chance to shoot a lot and super fast. Not a lot of time to stand around.

Cons

Some of the pay and equip is not awesome. But you do get the experience.

Some inexperienced staff, Upper editors are a little thin on oversight.

Pros

The best place to launch my career. Great culture and growth potential for employees new to the TV news industry. Managers truly care about you and treat you like family, and of course it helps that the station is owned by a family company. I had so much FUN and looked forward to going to work every day, even during the pandemic!

Cons

Low pay, but that’s to be expected starting out in news.
