Pros
Despite what you may read in the other reviews by disgruntled former employees who appear to coordinate attacks on the company, it's really not a bad place to work. Compared to other places I've worked and talking to friends about their companies, KPA at least makes a solid effort to build a sense of community and camaraderie. Communication from upper management is excellent, little perks like department sponsored lunches, professorial massages, company trips, awards, company recognition etc. are not something you get from every workplace. Salaries in our department are very much on par (or above) the regional average, though I can't speak to the developer community as it seems there has been an incredible influx of job openings int he past couple of years and the landscape in the Boulder area may be changing. As with any review, take those from former employees with a grain of salt. I really enjoy the people I work with, everyone is intelligent, thoughtful and understanding. KPA puts a lot of emphasis on core values, and if you read between the lines, you'll find those core values may not be as strong in employees who come back and bash former co-workers in a public forum. Perhaps there is a connection there.
Cons
I will agree with the other reviews that turnover may have been somewhat high in the past year or so. KPA is definitely going through some growing pains. We're a fast growing company and with any period of growth and expansion there is likely to be some turmoil. I feel like we're still moving forward and are again getting a good team in place.
