Pros

I was recently laid off from Kadiant due to COVID 19 circumstances. Kadiant stuck true to its values throughout the layoff process and I left feeling supported and cared for by the Leadership Team and my co-workers. Kadiant offered and paid for an incredible outplacement (career coach, job search resources etc.) service through Torchiana, and gave generous severance packages, which in a time like this goes extremely far and not many companies were able to offer their employees the same advantages with their layoffs during COVID 19. Besides the financial care they put forth, I felt the Leadership team, especially Lani Fritts and Jim Sjoerdsma were transparent throughout the COVID 19 period leading up to the layoffs and put a ton of care into ensuring the layoff process was handled in the best way for the exiting employees and our clients. After hearing many stories about layoffs that occurred all around the country, I am truly humbled by how much attention Kadiant put into the process. Through the COVID 19 period leading up to my lay off, it was incredible to witness all the departments come together and collaborate. These teams are truly trying their best to make positive changes for Kadiant, its people, and its clients. All of the teams (clinical, operations, human resources, professional development etc.) are led by high caliber individuals who work incredibly hard to do the right thing. The benefits at Kadiant are amazing, stronger than most ABA companies out there. I don’t know another ABA company that offers a student loan payback program in which their employer contributes to their student loans. Between that and the 401k Kadiant shows that it’s looking out for its people’s futures! Kadiant also offers medical benefits, commuter benefits, an Employee Assistance Program (emotional and well-being support) among many other offerings. I am excited to watch Kadiant come out of the COVID 19 struggles as a stronger, more united team and wish the best for the company and its success!

Cons

As with any growing company, communication between departments was a sticky point. I saw a change in this during the COVID 19 period as the teams became more united. The work-life balance piece of the role was also tricky for me as there were numerous moving projects and still a large number of team members to oversee from an HR leader perspective.

Pros

Good start up for a high schooler

Cons

I am sharing my experience as a former employee of this company. During my time there, I encountered ongoing schedule inconsistencies, which created significant challenges in maintaining stability and meeting expectations. My assigned shifts were repeatedly changed, often with little notice, which ultimately led to confusion and difficulty managing my availability. Additionally, after the initial training day, I received minimal guidance or supervision. Communication regarding expectations, policies, and company updates was limited, leaving me uncertain about performance standards and operational procedures. My employment was eventually terminated due to scheduling conflicts; however, these conflicts stemmed from the frequent changes to my assigned schedule. In my opinion, this company may be suitable as a short-term or startup opportunity for those seeking initial experience. However, individuals looking for long-term stability, clear leadership, and consistent scheduling may want to carefully evaluate their options before committing.
