Pros

Benefits are decent. Majority women staff at lowest level. Hourly base pay is reasonable. Genuinely passionate coworkers who love working with kids.

Cons

Very high turnover rate for most hourly positions, so nothing is ever consistent, including hours, paycheck, and the work itself. They assured us it would be fine after they bought out a local company, even offered everyone a pay raise. However, everyone got the same raise for the same amount, rendering my college degree in the field worthless (I was previously compensated more because of this) compared to someone fresh out of high school. The "raise" also followed with a steady slash of hours as Kadiant felt it unprofitable to serve more rural communities, as we were doing before. Ultimately, despite the raise, I was taking home about $300-250 less than I was before it. While women mostly made up the majority of BTs, in order to keep the gender ratio consistent at the admin level, men were often given more promotions for senior and supervisor positions than women were. I believe gender played a factor in workplace advancement. The tablets are a literal nightmare and run about as smooth as a Ti-84 calculator. Constantly freezing, crashing, These tablets are also used for everything. We were penalized for not completing appointments right the second we finish shifts. Every second was used against us. All of our data had to be tracked on these chunky nightmares. We were slashed drive time perks because it cost the company too much money, meaning our car, our insurance, our gas mostly came from our pockets, suddenly, contributing further to loss of income. Part of the contract reads "all other duties as assigned", which gave them the opportunity to cut a trainer position and make BTs take on the roll of training other BTs, without having to pay them more. I spent 3 years with the company, been turned down promotions, and still wanted to hang on because I genuinely had a love for the children I worked with and knew that leaving them after all this time would be difficult. It ultimately just made me feel empty at the end of the day. I was proud of what I could accomplish, but not for who I worked for.

Pros

Good start up for a high schooler

Cons

I am sharing my experience as a former employee of this company. During my time there, I encountered ongoing schedule inconsistencies, which created significant challenges in maintaining stability and meeting expectations. My assigned shifts were repeatedly changed, often with little notice, which ultimately led to confusion and difficulty managing my availability. Additionally, after the initial training day, I received minimal guidance or supervision. Communication regarding expectations, policies, and company updates was limited, leaving me uncertain about performance standards and operational procedures. My employment was eventually terminated due to scheduling conflicts; however, these conflicts stemmed from the frequent changes to my assigned schedule. In my opinion, this company may be suitable as a short-term or startup opportunity for those seeking initial experience. However, individuals looking for long-term stability, clear leadership, and consistent scheduling may want to carefully evaluate their options before committing.
