Pros

None since they were bought out

Cons

When I first got hired I really enjoyed working for the company, then they were bought out and made a lot of changes. One of the main issues was sick time, accrued vacation time and with my W2’s. If you take sick time, they penalize you for it. They were always asking for details about my medical history (it’s illegal to ask and I don’t legally have to give them that information). They threatened to call my doctor and ask about my visits with him to get more information on my condition and always wanted very detailed doctor notes about all of my visits (of course I gave them what I legally had to, but they were never satisfied). If you decide to use any of your accrued vacation time, you’ll get in trouble for it. No one ever answers your emails if you have a concern, but if they need to get into contact with you and you don’t respond then you get written up and put on a probationary period. With my W2’s, every year I worked for them I had to fight them to get it. I was always racing against the clock to get my taxes done before the IRS deadline because they never sent them out on time. And now as a former employee I’m still having to do this. I called and they told me the W2 was ready but when I asked why they haven’t been sent out they couldn’t give me an explanation. I have left voicemails, sent emails, and they never answer my calls anymore. I’ve had to go as far as contacting the police department, the IRS and the labor board hoping I can get it on time. The company is always being bought out because of how horrible their company is ran. It was bought out twice the first year I worked there. You are extremely underpaid so I highly suggest you discuss your pay with other coworkers because you may be getting shorted. As an RBT with 5 years experience I was getting the same amount as a new hire right out of high school and there is no discussion about pay allowed with the higher ups. Their new hire training is so bad. When ever a new RBT would shadow me and I would allow them to run parts of a session but the RBT didn’t have knowledge on ABA so there are very few decent RBT’s at this company. They’re constantly changing your benefits based on how many hours you worked rather than how many hours you were scheduled. Example: I was scheduled 35 hours a week but would sometimes only work 20 or less because my clients would cancel and most of the time they don’t have sessions that need to be covered to make up the hours. So because i worked less than full time they would cancel my benefits (medical, dental, vision). If they do have a session that needs to be covered they’ll send you however far that session is (a few times I got calls around 7AM saying a session needed to be covered at 7:30 but the drive alone took more than 30 minutes so I’d tell them I wouldn’t be able to make it on time and they wouldn’t allow the session to start later. Then a few days later I was written up for it and they threatened to reduce my pay.
