Pros

I have enjoyed working at SolutionStream. If you stay long enough, you will have many opportunities to work with very knowledgeable people on various projects. They work on an hourly basis (billable to clients) but guarantee you 40 hours. Hours over 40 are paid at the same hourly rate. On the rare occasion that a 40-60 hour week is needed, the resulting paycheck is great. Really fun parties / company family movies / Lagoon day / Christmas gift party, etc. Flexibility. You may get assigned to a long-term in-client-office contract. You also might get to juggle several projects at once. You can say what you like as well, and they'll try to get you on that type of contract.

Cons

You must be a contributor. I see this as a pro, some might see it as a con. If you want to settle back into a slow project at a large corporation, this isn't the place for you. If you want to get things done, and build cool software, check these guys out. Benched time can be scary. The organization is really flat, so there is not a large career path (which is offset by the strong learning-path you can have, if you want.)

Pros

I have been at SolutionStream over a year now. This is a well run consulting firm with over 100 senior level software engineers. A few of the culture events that they provide: Monthly Birthday BBQ Annual Lagoon Day for all immediate family (> 450 ppl) Crazy gift give away during the holidays, this is the time the company really goes all out to show it's thanks to their employees based on the amount of time you have been there. I think they gave over 20 big screen TV's alone! Holiday party for employee and significant other, typically in January after the craziness is over. Periodic Halo/game nights, where all the Big screen TV's in different rooms are linked and the battle begins. The facility is kept up and nice, they are currently out of space and looking for a building to add in downtown salt lake. You get paid for all the hours you work. They are honest

Cons

This is a pure consulting company, their is a chance that you will be put on an account that is not the most enjoyable and they might be quite critical and demanding. The good part is that it won't last forever, a new account is always around the corner.
