Pros
The pay, benefits, ability to work remotely, and supportive coworkers make this an enjoyable place to work. The flexibility of working from home has significantly improved my mental health and work-life balance while allowing me to remain productive and engaged in patient care.
Cons
My biggest frustration has been the difficulty in using earned benefits such as ETO and Educational Time. These benefits are part of our compensation package, yet the approval process can sometimes feel overly bureaucratic. Rather than looking for ways to support employee growth and well-being, some managers seem focused on finding reasons to deny requests. Kaiser invests heavily in its workforce, and encouraging employees to use ETO and EDT for rest, education, and professional development creates a positive return for both the employee and the organization.
