Pros

It can be a great place for the right person, those with entrepreneurial spirits will do well here, provided your personal goals and ambitions are in alignment with current company objectives. People starting out or early in their careers tend to do the best from my experience, with rapid growth and opportunities to be challenged and empowered. Find a mentor here, or two, and you'll learn a lot.

Cons

The company seems to be focused towards a solid vision of being a leader in the medical innovation and design space, however there are often multiple visions competing for focus, and therefore limiting breakout growth. This can be frustrating, however is not necessarily a con, just something to be aware of going in. Kaleidoscope is like a family, and their growth tends to be slower, and priorities shift every 24-36 months based on what they have learned and the opportunities presenting themselves. Adapting to this evolving focus is the key to being happy here.

Pros

Management, project work, and company culture are hard to beat. They genuinely care about the people. There is a great sense of community as well in the organization, and Ben Ko, the CEO, is a phenomenal person. People here are the best of the best both personally and professionally.

Cons

Pay is lower than equivalent positions elsewhere, communication was lacking at times from management, and they definitely need work in the diversity side of things (engineering is mostly white males of various ages). There is unfortunately a high emphasis on billability in the organization, which causes a lot of pressure and has developed into part of the culture, therefore most people who work here are top of the top in terms of talent and tend to expect a lot, somewhat to the point of unreason. The parent company, Infosys, caused a lot of headaches when they bought Kaleidoscope a few years back, and problems continue to show up consistently. They apply unnecessary pressure to management and make things much harder than they have to be on a day to day. They tend to be very controlling and difficult to work with on a person to person basis. They interfere with the day to day job, otherwise I would not mention them.
