Pros

Good place to work. Very flexible with time off as needed. Room to move up within the city if you are patient also plenty of room to move around to other positions if you need a change of scenery

Cons

Need to be more proactive about getting rid of unproductive employees. It's very frustrating to watch someone who has more tenure get away with being unproductive.

Random City benefits like free bike rentals. Getting to randomly meet city politicians.

Cons

Bureaucracy, organizational messiness. Co-workers gossiped blatantly about people and some were genuinely horrible at their job and had been their years. I went through the ADA Accomodations process over Zoom where where they all had their cameras off while reviewing my requests. I had to work an hour and half later just for two 15 minute breaks a day. My manager lied in the name clearing process.
