Pros

Kantata has strong products and the ability to quickly add more value to customers

Cons

Kantata’s transition from a beacon of industry excellence to confronting profound challenges has been a stark shift, revealing deep-seated issues within its leadership and strategic execution. This period of change has significantly tested the company’s foundational strengths, highlighting a disconnect between leadership actions and the innovative spirit that once propelled Kantata forward. A critical point of contention has been the leadership’s recent direction, which has seemed to stray from Kantata’s core mission and customer-centric values. Notably, the reconstitution of the executive team appears to be navigating a steep learning curve, impacting the company’s ability to stay at the forefront of innovation and maintain its competitive edge. Specifically, the Chief Revenue Officer’s strategy, with a notable focus on building a personal brand and introducing concepts such as “smarketing,” raises questions about the prioritization of genuine solutions to the sales and strategic challenges facing Kantata. While innovation in communication and strategy is valuable, there’s a growing concern that these initiatives may not be sufficient to address the underlying issues of declining sales performance and a lack of clear direction. Moreover, the approach to customer retention and engagement under the current leadership has been a point of concern. Measuring customer churn is one thing, but having the talent to address it requires experienced resources. The apparent gap in fully understanding and articulating the value of Kantata’s offerings to its clients suggests a misalignment that could risk further erosion of customer trust and loyalty. The company’s strategy on staffing and cost optimization has also sparked debate, with decisions to replace experienced employees with more cost-effective hires. Such moves, intended for financial efficiency, may overlook the intrinsic value of experience and the long-term implications for service quality and organizational culture. This tactic not only questions the balance between immediate cost-saving measures and sustainable growth but also signals a potential undervaluation of employee contributions and morale. These strategic decisions underscore a broader issue: a perceived shift from operating with a vision for long-term success to a focus on short-term financial metrics. The evident dissonance between Kantata’s stated values and its recent strategic directions has led to a palpable impact on internal trust and engagement, challenging the company’s ability to inspire and retain a committed workforce. As Kantata continues to face these critical challenges, the need for a strategic reassessment is clear. Emphasizing transparency, integrity, and a recommitment to the company’s foundational values is essential. For Kantata to navigate through this pivotal moment, it must undo its mistakes and align its leadership and strategies with the principles that once made it an industry leader, ensuring a future where the company not only survives but thrives.

Pros

The merger has created a real sense of momentum here. We’re no longer thinking in terms of individual teams or regions — we’re operating as a truly global company with a unified strategy. Leadership is leaning into long‑term thinking, cross‑border collaboration, and building a stronger, more scalable business. It feels like we’re entering a new chapter with bigger opportunities and a clearer vision for where we’re headed.

Cons

Change can be disruptive, especially when it happens quickly. Even positive transformation creates uncertainty, shifting priorities, and temporary ambiguity around roles and processes. Not everyone adapts at the same pace, and the constant adjustment can feel exhausting without clear communication and steady leadership support. Leadership has been transparent.

Pros

Colleagues were wonderful. At first there were some great perks but those slowly disappeared.

Cons

This company is a garbage fire disguised as an “industry leading” PSA solution vendor. Just look at the leadership turnover year over year and you’ll get a good idea of what type of organization this is.
