Pros

Prior to Covid: - nice office and breakroom and free snacks; chat n chew (extra snacks and a time to meet up with co-workers for a few minutes on Thursday afternoons), employee-led HH on Fridays in the breakroom - unlimited PTO - maternity / paternity leave - great Client Success Team - at a peer level, this team really takes care of and helps each other (beyond peers, don't expect much)

Cons

- due to the Private Equity Firm (Riverside) positioning the company to sell, the workloads of the CSM's are unmanageable without working 60+ hrs / week - because of this, CSM's cannot take advantage of the majority of benefits of working at this company, who clearly states that they do not pay the most in Austin, but they try to balance it out with the amazing culture they provide. Unfortunately, if CSM's want to be successful in their role and accomplish everything the company asks them to do, there is no time left to enjoy the culture and benefits, ie, chat n chew, happy hours, social groups, and certainly not unlimited PTO. That's a joke. - as mentioned, lower pay compared to other companies in the area - constant layoffs and turnover, especially on the CSM Team - little to no recognition for this team from the company. There are prestigious awards given (called Patch coins). In years and years, only 1 has been given to a CSM, while dozens have been given out to other departments in the company - technology is lagging behind competitors - their original product, reward checking, while truly great, was not patented or protected in any way, so competitors are rampant and are aggressively taking clients/business from Kasasa - track record of launching half-baked products that have a phenomenal number of problems (see note above regarding Riverside pushing to sell the company; this creates the pressure to do things hastily instead of well) - very flat organization; lack of career advancement - even pre-Covid, whether a CSM went above and beyond or just did the bare minimum, annual merit/salary increases are either non-existent or so minimal that they don't come close to keeping pace with the cost of living

Dear Spartan, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback and for the many years you spent with Kasasa. We’re glad to hear you experienced strong coworker relationships and a fun culture during your time here. We’re also sorry to hear that your experience with leadership, management support, and compensation did not meet expectations. Feedback like this is difficult to read, but it is important. We take concerns about leadership effectiveness, fairness, and employee experience seriously, and we know those areas have a direct impact on trust in the workplace. While we can’t speak to individual experiences in a public forum, we are committed to listening, learning, and improving. If you’re open to it, I’d welcome the opportunity to connect with you directly to better understand your experience. We appreciate you sharing your perspective and wish you the best in what’s next.
