Impractical salary structure, have to be promoted to get a pay hike Managers usually do not have people handling skills People don't care much whether you remain in the company or not after a few years Dedication and honesty not appreciated Career progress is entirely upto individuals. Managers do not take any responsibility and shrug away at the first possible opportunity HR and Resource Management teams lack the drive to help employees General attitude being newer employees mean less hassle (probably processwise), so even if there are older employees qualified for a job after brief training, tendency is to bring in newer employee (possibly at a higher payscale!)
