There are dedicated educators and campus leaders within the district who genuinely want to serve students. Students and families are fabulous!
Cons
Administrators are consistently undermined by a lack of support at the central office level. Assistant superintendents are largely disengaged and fail to provide meaningful guidance or advocacy for campuses. The school board appears more invested in personal or political agendas than in creating a supportive, student-centered environment. This misalignment has caused a loss of trust and a morale crisis across the district. Although the interim superintendent seems to want what’s best for the district, the chosen strategy of "moving forward without addressing the past" is dismissive and tone-deaf. Ignoring the significant challenges and tension within the organization does not build trust or promote healing. Perhaps most concerning is the conduct of the Head of Human Resources, whose actions are widely regarded as dishonest and unethical. Despite widespread awareness, these behaviors have been tolerated, further eroding confidence in the district's leadership. Until there is accountability and a cultural reset at the top, the district will continue to struggle with retention, morale, and credibility.
