Pros
Location. Cafeteria. Employees outside of the marketing department.
Cons
*Worked at corporate headquarters in Troy, in the marketing department. The job was supposed to be a "manager' position, but there was nothing to manage except the constant flow of research projects (production work, basically) for the "C-suite". There was no support, no positive feedback, and certainly no career development on the part of direct management. It was a sweat shop that could have been better served by outsourcing the research to an external firm (overseas, for example). *Older computer equipment (PCs, no laptops) *No opportunity for telework or flexible work environment, even though the work is solitary, production work that lends itself well to that model.
