Pros
Competitive base salary for AE
Cons
Working for Kelly Services, Inc. as an AE has been a thoroughly frustrating experience. Role description and details discussed during the recruitment process are far from reality. Expectations only grew and changed from the beginning. It was presented as a hybrid role with 2 WFH days a week. Turns out that those 2 days are for face-to-face customer meetings, so you are not in the office, but not working from home. Metrics discussed in interview as 20-25 outbound calls/day quickly escalated up to 80+/day. There's a distinct lack of clear communication and a disregard for the challenges faced on the ground. Messaging from management is unclear and inconsistent. Also, the technology and tools provided are outdated and clunky. Time wasted on navigating through poorly designed software and manual processes could be better spent building relationships and finding suitable clients. Management expects unreasonable amount of time be spent on administrative tasks, as opposed to actual relationship building, causing confusion and discouragement. The compensation structure is also a major drawback. The commission structure is convoluted, making it difficult to gauge how much one will actually earn. This uncertainty adds to the stress of an already demanding job and creates an environment where financial stability is far from assured.
