Pros

Personal Time Off is OK, but work just piles up as there is no one to look after it while you are off, so, really not worth taking the time off. My immediate supervisor is a great person and if not for that I would have been gone a long time ago. Unfortunately, they are in a no win situation, having to take orders from above and trying to sell us on a decision that is only going to hurt.

Cons

Used to be a good company, but now sadly becoming just like every other insurance company. Work/Life balance is gone. Can and do work 10+ hour days, no lunch and still can't keep up. Typical of the insurance industry. Pay raises are non-existent and not tied to performance. Corporate makes an arbitrary decision on what pay raises will be regardless of the quality of work. The difference in pay raises between someone who 'walks on water' and someone who can barely get the job done is not enough to justify killing yourself to do a good job and only encourages mediocrity. Career opportunities are limited. People leave or are fired and never replaced. Also, before considering this company, do a quick google search of the CEO and make up your own mind as to why he had to leave his last employer. If that is the type of behavior they reward, god help them.

Pros

Pay and benefits, supportive coworkers, opportunities to develop critical thinking, communication, and investigation skills. The role provided valuable experience in handling complex claims and making coverage and liability decisions.

Cons

High caseloads and demanding workloads can make it challenging to maintain work life balance. The job can be stressful at times due to deadlines, customer expectations, and the volume of claims.
