Pros

I've only been here for less than 6 months but feel comfortable working with my new team. Everyone has been really helpful and welcoming to me. The recruiting process took a little over a month and my recruiter, Donna, was easy to reach by phone any time. I thought the total rewards was above industry standard and the compensation fair. Orientation was done by the corporate office in Chicago so it was fun to see all of us from different divisions, making it feel like a much bigger part of things. Some of the divisions are additions to Kemper after being different brands in the past. There's so many options for you to develop and grow into if you choose to stay within Kemper.

Cons

There are quite a bit of my coworkers that have been with company for a long time. There are a lot of recently hired employees too. If there was a way to really solidify the bridge between long-tenured employees and new employees in a way both parties will work in harmony together would be great. More people entering into the insurance industry for the first time in their career will help the company grow faster.

Pros

Pay and benefits, supportive coworkers, opportunities to develop critical thinking, communication, and investigation skills. The role provided valuable experience in handling complex claims and making coverage and liability decisions.

Cons

High caseloads and demanding workloads can make it challenging to maintain work life balance. The job can be stressful at times due to deadlines, customer expectations, and the volume of claims.
